Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, born March 26, 1991, is also known by the name Ari Lennox, hails from Washington, D.C. and is the first female artist to be signed by J. Cole's Dreamville Records label. On October 21, 2016 she debuted Pho, her debut EP for the label Dreamville Records. This was when she was first recognized. Shea Butter Baby, her debut album, was released on the 7th of May, 2019. Ari Lennox posted her debut music on the internet in 2012. She dropped the single Five Finger Discount in 2013 and Ariography EP in 2013. Her uploads continued music online in 2014, including her self-released single Bound. In the year 2015, she was featured in Omen's Elephant Eyes Album in the track "Sweat it out" 21st July. J. Cole, who was a part of the Dreamville crew back then, wanted to have her do some Rihanna in reference to Rihanna. The official signing ceremony was held to Dreamville Records on 8 December. On the release album Revenge of the Dreamers II her appearance was
